POSITION SUMMARY

The accounts payable Administrator compiles and maintains accounts payable records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing for payment.
• Process invoices in a timely manner into the ERP system
• Prints and obtains signatures on all account's payable checks.
• Distributes signed checks as required.
• Works with corporate AP regarding accounts payable issues and requests.
• Answers all vendor inquiries.
• Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and accounts payable files.
• Prepares cleared checks for storage.
• Assembles and processes overnight shipments as needed.
• Reconcile statements of accounts, as required.
• Performs filing and copying.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related dutiesfrom time to time if requested by department management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform the duties of this job, an individual must be able to read, write understand and communicate by telephone using the English Language.

Work allows for independence to decide what is to be done and when. Confidential information is regularly used. Requires independent effort with limited direct supervision; uses original thinking to develop, recommend or initiate policies and procedures. Work activities require daily contact with more than one department to discuss /interpret methods and procedures and to resolve mutual problems. The work product and service effects the accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of further processes or services offered by other departments.


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS (Education, experience, certifications, proficiencies, etc.)

1-2 years' experience Intermediate computer skills Strong math skills Good teamwork abilities Good communication skills Basic knowledge of accounting operations Ability to read and interpret accounting policy /procedures manuals Ability to calculate figures, amounts and work fractions, ratios, and percentages
