Operant Services is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for Behavior Interventionists (Technicians) in the Riverside and San Bernardino and surrounding areas. We have been providing exceptional Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to families in Southern California since 2018, and we're looking for dedicated individuals to join our team.

Position: 
Behavior Interventionist [BI]

Location: 
San Bernardino County and surrounding areas

Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-home, and/or school-based ABA services to children with Autism and other disabilities.
- Implement ABA interventions providing 1:1 behavior services to clients in natural settings such as home and public places.
- Collect data on skill acquisition and problem behaviors.
- Address problematic behaviors per the instructions of the clinical team.
- Follow ethical standards in behavioral modification.
- Collaborate with team members and maintain communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Major Duties:
- Provides ongoing 1-to-1 behavior therapy while maintaining accurate and reliable data collection and session notes.
- Attend and participate in monthly clinical team meetings with supervisors and BCBA to ensure consistent intervention implementation.
- Collaborate with other Behavior Interventionists on client cases as assigned.
- Complete and maintain both paper and electronic documentation of clinical data and notes.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and respectful communications with clients and their legal guardians.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical and scheduling teams with punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the clinical team.

Requirements:
- High school diploma (required)
- 2 years of college coursework in child development, special education, psychology, or related field (preferred but not necessary)
- Experience working with children and individuals with special needs, (Autism, ADHD, Etc.) (preferred but not necessary)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Bend at the waist, kneel, or crouch to assist clients, sit or stand for extended periods of time, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- DOJ Background/fingerprint clearance

Availability: 
Monday - Friday 2pm-8pm (at least 3 weekdays); mornings vary
(optional Saturdays)

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of general needs and behaviors of clients with disabilities, including principles, practices, and procedures applicable to working with them.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Proficiency in English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills with tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Operation of standard office and classroom equipment, including computer and iPad.
- Basic record-keeping techniques.
- **Spanish speaking preferred.**

Expectations:
- Learn terminology and techniques unique to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Perform data collection on client performance.
- Perform routine clerical work and basic arithmetic calculations.
- Understand and work effectively with clients in the home and in public settings.
- Be dependable and punctual.
- Adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Perform tasks within a structured time frame.
- Use appropriate technology to maintain security for client records.
- Maintain sensitivity to ethnic, religious, and cultural differences.
- Work effectively with clients with disabilities, earning their confidence and trust.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
- Accept feedback from Clinical Supervisor.

Compensation:
- $17 - $24 per hour based on experience and education
