Job Overview – Construction Superintendent (Commercial & Institutional Projects):

Compensation: $130,000 – $145,000/year + bonus

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Atlantic Group is hiring a Construction Superintendent (Commercial & Institutional Projects) in Philadelphia, PA with our client, a leading general contractor expanding in healthcare and higher education construction. You will oversee all on-site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is ideal for experienced superintendents with ground-up and institutional construction backgrounds.

Responsibilities as the Construction Superintendent:

• Project Leadership: Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, safety standards, and schedules.
• Team Coordination: Supervise subcontractors and field staff to maintain productivity, safety, and high-quality workmanship.
• Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage project schedules, address delays, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety regulations while promoting a culture of job site safety.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections, manage punch lists, and ensure all work meets project and client expectations.

Qualifications for the Construction Superintendent:

• Experience: 6-10 years in commercial construction, including 3+ years as a lead Superintendent managing ground-up and interior projects in healthcare, education, or institutional sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software, with a strong understanding of scheduling, safety, and cost control.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong leader and communicator with proven ability to manage subcontractors, solve problems, and deliver projects safely and efficiently.
