Construction Superintendent – Commercial Tenant Improvement

Location: El Segundo, California (Must reside within a 30-minute commute)

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $100,000 – $135,000 annually + comprehensive benefits package

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects in the office, industrial, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. This role is essential to ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality and safety standards.

Only candidates with direct commercial TI experience —specifically within office, lab, healthcare, or life sciences environments—will be considered. Experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant TI projects does not align with the requirements of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all field operations for assigned commercial tenant improvement projects
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel
• Conduct daily site walkthroughs to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety protocols
• Serve as the main on-site liaison for clients, architects, engineers, and internal project managers
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and job site photos
• Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges to maintain project timelines
• Ensure full compliance with local building codes, inspections, and permit requirements
• Enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety policies to maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent overseeing commercial tenant improvement projects
• Strong knowledge of TI-specific construction methods, sequencing, and specialty trades
• Proven track record of delivering complex TI projects on time and within budget
• Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Must reside within 30 minutes of El Segundo, CA
