(1099 Contractor – Kansas Licensed)

Summit Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing nature-based mental health services for kids and teens in Shawnee, Kansas. We help youth ages 8–18 build confidence, focus, and emotional regulation through hands-on activities, animal connection, and movement—within an environment designed to feel safe, engaging, and full of possibility.

Our programs blend clinical therapy, executive function coaching, and experiential learning. Whether a child is navigating ADHD, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, we meet them where they are and support them in building the tools they need to thrive at home, at school, and in life.

We’re currently hiring a part-time Executive Function Coach / Therapist to join our collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming team. This is a 1099 contractor position involving individual sessions, group support, and program preparation.

Schedule

• Mondays and Tuesdays, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Initial training provided outside of client-facing hours

Core responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 8–10 clients (children and teens)
• Support executive function group sessions (prep, co-facilitation, debrief)
• Prepare for client sessions, events, and programming
• Participate in outreach events and general correspondence
• Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and neurodivergent-affirming team culture
• Additional duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, education, or a related field
• Active Kansas license in a relevant clinical, educational, or therapeutic discipline
• At least 3 years of experience working with children, teens, or families
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build affirming, trusting relationships with neurodivergent clients and families
• Experience with treatment planning and clinical documentation
• Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and culturally responsive practice
• Completion of all required continuing education

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with executive function coaching or therapy related to time management, self-esteem, anxiety, planning, or self-regulation
• Familiarity with metacognitive strategies and/or reflexive questioning
• Experience supporting clients with ADHD, autism, or learning differences
• Skill in managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining strong professional boundaries
• Familiarity with the Seeds of Learning™ framework or similar executive function models (a plus, not required)

Compensation

The pay range for this job begins at $39/hour , but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

This is a 1099 contractor role. The hourly rate reflects time spent in direct service, preparation, documentation, and collaboration.
