JOB DESCRIPTION
Tasting Bar Beertenders will be working in our Pilot Brewery Bar, which is located on the first floor of the Brew House and is the primary service area for our flights and beer and food to go service. Tasting Bar Beertenders are responsible for educating guests on FIFCOUSA’s beer and beverage portfolio and the brewing process. We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic candidate with a passion for all things beer and Genesee! They should be comfortable with all aspects of service including pouring beer, taking drink and food orders, and cash handling. They will also support private events in the Tasting Bar. The employee will be responsible for maintaining positive guest relations throughout the guests’ experience.

SCHEDULE: Saturday and Sunday availability required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Become an expert in FIFCO USA culture and history.
Obtain and maintain knowledge of FIFCO USA beer styles, brewing, and packaging processes, and communicate to patrons through tastings and each visitor contact.
Responsible for all food to-go orders including taking calls, entering orders, and checking for accuracy before pick-up.
Responsible for beer to-go orders including Growler and Crowler fills.
Responsible for welcoming and interacting with guests in a positive and friendly manner.
Check receipts and assemble the order for the guest.
Anticipate guests' needs and assist with directions, event schedules, and other information or assistance as needed.
May do “Side Work” pertaining to their craft including but not limited to cleaning work areas, stocking supplies, and maintaining general upkeep of the Brew House.
Responsible for cleaning glassware using dishwashers and storing properly.
Responsible for disposing of trash and keeping their work area clean and orderly.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills and ability to convey information.
Excellent listener: Must give full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.
Ability to operate and use computers and cash register; previous experience with Toast POS is a plus!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to walk and stand for the entirety of the shift as well as bend, stoop, reach, push, and lift frequently.
Must be able to handle weights up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to safely climb stairs various times during shift with food tray, bussing bin and/or drinks.
Must be able to safely transport food, equipment, or materials using an elevator.
Must be able to handle weights up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
Must complete employer provided alcohol safe service training.
