Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate IBM Aspera Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience designing and implementing solutions using IBM Aspera technology. As an IBM Aspera Developer, you will play a key role in developing new features, enhancing existing functionality, and ensuring the reliability and performance of Aspera solutions for our clients.

• Design and develop software solutions using IBM Aspera technology to facilitate high-speed data transfer and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and implement solutions that meet client needs.
• Develop custom applications, plugins, and integrations to extend the functionality of IBM Aspera products and address specific client requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity and technical expertise.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in IBM Aspera technology and incorporate new features and enhancements into software solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams on Aspera integration, customization, and troubleshooting.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on networked applications and data transfer technologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, UDP, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of data transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, and Aspera FASP is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
