Job Overview:

The IOM Manager is responsible for developing customized curriculum and delivering high-quality training content to organizations seeking to enhance the skills and capabilities of their administrative workforce. Working in close partnership with the Partnerships Manager, who serves as the lead relationship manager for client organizations, the IOM Manager receives handoffs for Organizational Members who wish to incorporate training into their membership benefits. This role serves as the training specialist and content expert, designing and implementing tailored professional development programs that address the unique challenges and opportunities within the administrative profession. The position requires extensive travel and a deep commitment to helping individuals and organizations achieve their professional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Customization

  • Design and develop customized training curriculum tailored to the specific needs of client organizations and their administrative professionals
  • Research and integrate current best practices, trends, and innovations in administrative professional development
  • Create engaging, interactive learning materials across various topic areas relevant to the administrative profession

Training Delivery and Facilitation

  • Deliver dynamic, engaging training sessions to administrative professionals and other related roles (i.e. executives, HR, managers, etc.) within client organizations
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and professional development programs using adult learning methodologies
  • Adapt presentation style and content in real time to meet diverse learner needs and organizational contexts

Client Relationship Management

  • Partner closely with the Partnership Manager to ensure seamless transitions for Organizational Members seeking training services
  • Serve as the training point of contact following handoff from the Partnership Manager
  • Support needs assessments to identify organizational goals, challenges, and training requirements
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout training engagements to ensure program effectiveness and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Partnership Manager to provide feedback on training outcomes and opportunities for continued partnership

Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

  • Assess training effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, and organizational outcomes
  • Analyze evaluation data to refine curriculum and delivery methods
  • Stay current with developments in the administrative profession and adult learning theory

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

  • Work collaboratively with the Partnership Manager and other internal team members to ensure coordinated client service
  • Share insights from training engagements that may inform broader organizational partnership strategies
  • Contribute to the development of IAAP's broader training resources and offerings
  • Represent IAAP professionally at client sites and industry events
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in training, professional development, or adult education
  • Demonstrated expertise in the administrative profession, including understanding of its unique challenges, opportunities, and career pathways
  • Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Experience developing and delivering training content across various topic areas
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Highly adaptable mindset with ability to adjust to diverse organizational cultures and learning environments
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working effectively in team settings
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft programs, and learning management systems
  • Ability for up to 75% travel [domestic and international]
