Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and assistance to residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting, promoting their health and independence.
• Assist with mobility and functional nursing care as outlined by the nursing care plan, including transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
• Build professional relationships with residents, family members, co-workers, and supervisors to foster open communication based on mutual respect.
• Support assessments and treatment procedures as defined by state regulations and facility policy, including vital signs, specimen collection, and skin care.
• Adhere to Infection Control guidelines and assist with protocols related to falls prevention, safety, behavior management, and nutritional needs.
• Accept assignments and directions from the Nurse Leader, observing and reporting changes in resident conditions.
• Understand and follow established protocols regarding Resident Rights, Abuse reporting, HIPAA, and emergency response.
• Encourage and assist residents in engaging in social and recreational activities.
• Accurately document the level of care provided, including LNA flow sheets and data collection as per Care Plans.

Qualifications:

• Active NH LNA License
• Prior experience working directly with senior citizens is strongly preferred
