A law firm seeks an experienced patent attorney to join its intellectual property team in Nashville, TN. This role involves providing comprehensive legal counsel on various intellectual property matters focusing on patent prosecution. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience and expertise to a supportive and collaborative professional environment. Duties Manage all aspects of patent prosecution, including drafting, filing, and responding to office actions. Advise clients on intellectual property strategies to protect and expand their innovation portfolios. Conduct patentability assessments, infringement analyses, and freedom-to-operate evaluations. Maintain and grow a portable book of business while fostering client relationships. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of attorneys to support broader intellectual property needs. Stay informed about changes in patent law and regulations to ensure client compliance. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in patent prosecution. Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of clients and provide strategic advice. Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal services in intellectual property matters. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in good standing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (Patent Bar). Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Skills Expertise in patent prosecution processes and intellectual property law. Ability to assess complex technical and legal issues effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
