We are looking for a dedicated Patient Transporter like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsJob SummaryThis position is responsible for solid to expert knowledge of all transport procedures. Employee is expected to communicate and work independently in performing all patient transportation procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood. Prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care and customer service to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Maintains and supports facility technical and procedural documentation expectations consistent with external and internal regulations and standards. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal and team contributions.You willtransport patients from the patient room to the appropriate area by wheelchair, stretcher, or bedYou will provide specialty beds as needed throughout the facilityYou will transport laboratory specimens for pre-admit testingYou will transport crash carts to the pharmacy for restocking; assists the pharmacy in delivering medication during tube system downtimeYou will provide courier/mailroom support as needed; and exchange empty O2 tanks throughout the facility with full tanks dailyResponsible for timely delivery and communication of delivery of remote telemetry boxes to clinical staff and monitor techniciansMust be able to demonstrate iPad and iPhone competency within 30 days of hireWhat qualifications you will need:High School Diploma/GED equivalent or graduate from accredited programPrevious orderly or transport experience - preferredPrevious customer service experienceKnowledge of medical terminology or completion of medical terminology courseBasic Cardiac Life Support required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateHCA Florida West Hospital is a 515-bed facility.
