Senior Product Manager Personalization

The Recommendations & Personalization team plays a critical role in shaping how we understand travellers intent and preferences to deliver the most relevant experiences at every stage of the journey. Were focused on using traveller data and AI to make every interaction more intuitive and meaningful.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Personalization platform to help define and deliver a key portion of the personalization strategy and roadmap. In this role, youll be responsible for prioritizing and launching features that tailor content, recommendations, or ranking models for travellers. Youll collaborate closely with Data & AI teams, engineering, design, and other product teams to power experiences that respond to both tripspecific context and longterm preferences.

In this role, you will

  • Own a portion of the personalization strategy and endtoend roadmap, focusing on making travel discovery and decisionmaking more relevant and effortless.
  • Define prioritization frameworks such as traveller preferences & intent, including which attributes to capture in the user profile, how to infer them from behaviour and conversations, and how to replay them across the experience.
  • Collaborate with the Data & AI team to develop new models ensuring high accuracy to build user trust.
  • Drive alignment across functionsengineering, data & AI, design, brand, analytics, and other product teamsto ensure personalization features are consistent, scalable, and clearly tied to traveller experience and business impact.
  • Support a culture of testing and learning: define platform metrics, launch experiments, and iterate based on measurable results.
  • Evangelise the personalization vision across Expedia Group, using strong communication and influence skills to drive clarity and momentum across teams.

Experience and qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a technical, quantitative, or businessrelated field (required); MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years working on personalization, recommendation systems, ranking, or AI/MLpowered products in a consumer technology setting.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and shipping products that rely on userlevel signals and behavioural data to drive relevance.
  • Strong technical acumen: comfortable working closely with data scientists, engineers, and architects to shape system capabilities and deliver highquality features.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation skills, with the ability to define KPIs and draw actionable insights from data.
  • Excellent collaboration and influence skillsable to align diverse teams, manage crossfunctional dependencies, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Customerobsessed mindset with the ability to translate complex problems into clear product decisions that improve the traveller experience.

Compensation

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00 based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance. Starting pay for this role will vary based on location, budget, and individual knowledge, skills, and experience.
