General Laborer/Saw Operator $18/hr Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker for a first shift position from 6:15 AM to 2:45 PM. This role involves operating chop saws to remove ceramic material, filter balls, and rods from aerospace parts, as well as cutting metal parts to client specifications. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs as needed and operating computers to input data on finished parts. A keen eye for detail is essential for reading and interpreting work instructions and occasionally using micrometers and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate chop saws to remove ceramic material, filter balls, and rods from aerospace parts.
• Utilize measuring equipment to ensure specifications are correct.
• Cut metal parts to specifications of aerospace clients.
• Lift up to 50 lbs when needed.
• Operate computers to insert data on finished parts.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Occasionally use micrometers and gauges.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience
• Production skills
• Saw operation experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with hand tools and machine operation
• Familiarity with power tools, gauges, and micrometers
• Ability to read tape measures and operate bandsaws
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Computer literacy and experience using computers

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined
• Experience in construction
• Experience with grinding and wood cutting

Work Environment

This is a smaller facility equipped with four saws and a warehouse containing chemicals used to clean finished metal parts. The environment fosters teamwork as everyone works together to achieve common goals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
