We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain Haas CNC mills with a strong emphasis on precision and quality. This role involves performing setups, running production, editing programs, and ensuring parts meet strict dimensional specifications. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in Mastercam programming and G & M code editing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Haas CNC machines independently, including loading programs, installing tooling, and setting up fixtures.
  • Review prints, work orders, setup sheets, and shop travelers to determine machining requirements.
  • Modify program speeds, feeds, and G-code as needed to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Verify finished parts using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust tool/work offsets, feed rates, and spindle speeds to maintain part quality.
  • Proof and edit programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Optimize tooling and programs for better throughput and reduced cycle times.
  • Complete all required documentation, work order forms, and inspection reports accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and operating Haas CNC mills.
  • Proficient in Mastercam programming and basic program editing.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of G & M codes, including the ability to adjust machine offsets and parameters.
  • Skilled in calculating and setting machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and precise hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods during the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and movement of materials between workstations.
  • Must have adequate visual acuity to detect subtle part defects and deviations.
